UNIVERSIDADES ACESSÍVEIS DO RIO DE JANEIRO: EU NÃO CONSIGO VER
ACCESSIBLE UNIVERSITIES IN RIO DE JANEIRO: I CANNOT SEE
Abstract
The accessibility steps to reach the higher education in Rio de Janeiro presents a significant misunderstanding when faced by people with visual impairment. The present paper will introduce the main steps; the barriers faced by them in these process of transition, and what the design approaches can offer to this subject.

DESAFIOS DE ACESSIBILIDADE E INCLUSÃO NO ENSINO SUPERIOR: UMA ANÁLISE SOB O OLHAR DO DESIGN UNIVERSAL PARA A MELHORIA NA EXPERIÊNCIA DE APRENDIZADO DAS PESSOAS COM DEFICIÊNCIA VISUAL
ACCESSIBILITY AND INCLUSION CHALLENGES IN HIGHER EDUCATION: AN ANALYSIS IN THE SIGHT OF THE UNIVERSAL DESIGN FOR THE IMPROVEMENT IN THE LEARNING EXPERIENCE OF PEOPLE WITH VISUAL IMPAIRMENT

Abstract
Despite a large number of visually impaired people in Brazil and the development of special services for these users in different segments of society, access to university remains an issue. The present research intends to understand the academic path of people with visual impairment, from high school to university, from the perspective of Universal Design.
To understand this scenario, a documental analysis of the applicable laws was carried out. They were then related to the main aspects of physical and cognitive ergonomics embedded in the Universal Design field. Visually Impaired Blog Reports were also considered, as well as digital media news. Such information was necessary to draft possible Design interventions that will enable these users to be better supported by the higher educational institutions

MESH—Memory Sharing: A Conceptual Memory Management System Tailored to the Visually Impaired
Abstract
It is apparent how digital technologies have provided new tools for memory monitoring, particularly the ones that rely on visual aspects. The concept of collective memory plays an essential role in human relationships, in which each individual is perpetuated through the knowledge transmitted from generation to generation. This paper emphasizes the importance of social networks as tools for storage and sharing of memories and life experiences. Within this scope, it advocates for the inclusion of the visually impaired. To this end, the following research questions were raised: Which are the strategies adopted by the visually impaired to retain and retrieve memories? Which tools are used to store and share them? Are the tools available today for such purposes consistent with the strategies of these individuals? In order to answer such questions, in-depth interviews were conducted, along with participant observation. The researchers concluded that people with visual impairments primarily associated memories to places and events. With these findings, a conceptual interaction design called MESH, a memory management system was developed—tailored to the needs of the visually impaired. The research findings identified a need in the market for tools capable of promoting interaction between the sighted and the non-sighted population, especially when it comes to the topic of collective memory.

PROJETO SENSES: EXPERIÊNCIA DO USUÁRIO CEGO E ESCOLHA DE CORES
SENSES PROJECT: BLIND'S USER EXPERIENCE AND COLOR CHOICES
Abstract
Understanding the role of the fashion designer as a mediator in project solutions, this article deals with the sensory immersion in the Act of buying clothes and their most varied stimuli used to persuade customers in the retail trade. These stimuli were analyzed and used as an important tool for the final project in fashion Design presented in this paper.
From the user experience, it was possible to extract hypothesis in ergonomics and technology, connecting them through Inclusive Design, resulting in a possible solution for the autonomy of the blind in your choice of colors for clothes.
